III. Comments/Compliance <br />This was a partial inspection conducted by Jim Burnell of CDMG on the afternoon of <br />Monday, April 1, 2002. The site was quiet and deserted. The weather was sunny and <br />unseasonably warm. <br />The amended area below the old highway was clear of snow and mostly dry already. There <br />was some emergence of early grass. <br />The road ditches at the East mine were wet. There had been no apparent movement from <br />the slumps and there didn't appear to be any seeping at the time. The upper slopes (above <br />the road) were completely dry. <br />There was no sign of instability or erosion on the middle mine. The ground was snow- <br />covered. Couldn't find evidence of whitetop emerging yet. <br />The pond bottom was damp, but all the snow was gone. <br />The west mine has dense vegetation. There was no off-site impact on the west mine <br />
