Present during the inspection were Tim
Comer and Mark Tidquist. As approved by the Division in 2003, Ames was
producing bentonite-amended clay for the Phase IVC, LEACH PAD AREA. Smooth
grading in anticipation of clay liner deployment is continuing, even
though, at the time of the inspection, due to thick fog cover, activity was
limited t a dozer along the North West side, no major problem noted.
Inspected the Phases I, II, III AND IV leach pad areas and recorded the
following readings from the high and low volume solution collection
transducers.
Phase I High volume solution collection transducer # 1 was recorded at 39.8
#2 was at 41.6 and # 3 was at 39.8. Low volume transducer #1 was recorded
at .22 and 3 2 was at .68. Piezometer for the pond was at 39.8 feet.
Phase II High volume solution collection transducer # 4 was recorded at
40.4 # 5 was recorded at 35.3 # 6 was at 42.6.Low volume transducer # 1 was
at .13 and # 2 was at .36. Piezometer for the pond was at 42.6 feet.( All
transducer readings are in feet of hydrostatic head unless noted otherwise)
Inspected the external pond, it was holding a small amount of partially
frozen water. Low volume solution collection transducer for the pond were
recorded 12.6 for # 1 and 10.2 for # 2(inches of hydrostatic head)
Phase IV High Volume solution collection transducer # 7 was recorded at
18.5 # 8 was at 18.5 #9 was at 18.6 and # 10 was at 19.0. Low volume
solution collection transducer # 1 was at 18.5 and # 2 was at 6.1 inches of
hydrostatic head.
Inspected the under drain, both the 4 inch pipe and the south under drain
were discharging at a trickle, no major problem noted.
18 E Contact Address
NAME: MR PHIL BARNES
OPERATOR: CC8.V
STREET: P C) BnX 191
CITY/STATE/ZIP: VICTnR.
