(Page 2) <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-1978-249 <br />INSPECTION DATE 3-02-2005 <br />INSPECTOR'S INITIALS GRS <br />This was a general monitoring inspection of the Kokes Pit conducted by <br />Gregg Squire of the Division of Minerals and Geology. The Logan County <br />Planning Department was notified but was not present during the inspection. <br />The pit is located about % mile east off County Road 79, south of County <br />Road 76. <br />A permit sign was posted at the pit entrance and the permit boundaries <br />could be located either by markers, fence lines, roads or other landmarks. <br />According to the land owner, who drove out to the site while the inspector <br />was there, the county had just completed stockpiling a large amount of <br />material. Most of the current activity is taking place along the south <br />face of the pit. Topsoil has been salvaged.
