Nuvemco, LLC. is succeeding as operator
from William Burnett. The Monogram Mine is a 110(2) permitted mine that has been in standby, reclamation status
for some time.
The sign at the turn off from the main county road to the mine site was clearly visible. The sign denotes the original
operator prior to Mr. Bennett's acquisition of the permit. Nuvemco will be required to post a new sign with the
required information within 30 days of approval ofthe SO. The sign may be better located at the new locked gate on
the access road to the mine rather than immediately off the county road for protection from vandals. Nuvemco is
involved in surveying in the permit boundaries and producing up to date maps. Once the boundaries have been
clearly defined again, Nuvemco will need to install orange painted t-posts at corners and ever 200 feet ofboundary.
Current conditions are a small work pad of less than a quarter acre where two storage containers and some pipe aze
staged. The main access road has been recently graded and is in good shape. Some pinion /juniper slash is piled in
the southeastern section of this azea. The operator will be burning the slash this next winter when conditions aze
favorable. No fuels or other hazardous materials were noted or observed at this time.
Nuvemco plans to do some non-evasive exploration of historical edits and chasing of some old drill holes. Any new
holes within the mine permit will have to be covered under a TR so that reclamation liability can be accounted for.
Holes off site will be under the NOI /prospect rules. Nuvemco plans on sealing any holes they create or disturb.
Nuvemco has opted for a new Financial Warranty to be calculated prior to approval of the SO. After discussions
with the Carters the bond will be updated based on current conditions. However it is understood that a new mining
and reclamation plan technical revision will be required prior to initiation of any new mining activities at the site.
The new plans will bring the permit in compliance with current standards. The inspector and the operator discussed
geo-chemical testing of waste and ore rocks using SPLP and the Nevada test. The testing results will be necessary
prior to the submission of any TR so that any issues that may arise can be addressed at that time.
No issues were noted at this time.
The operator should contact BLM if they have not done so to insure compliance with Federal rules and regulations
as well.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Russ Means at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and
Safety, Grand Junction Field Office, 101 South 3rd Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, phone no.
970-241-1117.
I & E Contact Address cc:
^ CE
NAME: Henry Carter ^BLM, Lynn Lewis
OPERATOR: Nuvemco ^ FS
STREET: 10771 - 3200 Road ^ HW
CITY/STATE/ZIP: Hotchkiss, CO 81419 ^ HMWMD (CH)
