Comments also describe any enforcement
actions taken during the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the
enforcement action.
This was a complete inspection conducted by Tom Kaldenbach of the Colorado Division
of Minerals and Geology. No one else was present during the field portion of the
inspection. Jay James of Montgomery Watson represented the operator during the
records check.
The ground was drying out from rain the day before. Both entrance gates were locked.
AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS
All required records were available at the Montgomery Watson office in Steamboat
Springs. The records checklist is attached.
SIGNS AND nraaus'RS
New boundary markers need to be installed soon to reflect the new permit boundary
that was surveyed in fall 1999.
Shrub transplants showed healthy looking growth in all three shrub parcels 003, HG-
8, and E. Shrubs in parcel E are much farther along than in the other two parcels.
SLIDES AND DAMAGE
The slump area was re-disturbed in summer 1998 when under-drains were installed. No
problems were found at the slump during this inspection. The steel stakes remain in
alignment across the slump. The seed distributed last year is starting to grow. The
easternmost underdrain outlet (pvc pipe) was dripping water presumably from the rain
the day before. There was no evidence of discharge from the other drain outlets.
Page 3
