(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: ~~-~96~-n~~
INSPECTION DATE: ep~! 8200.4 INSPECTOR=S INITIALS: ~110L
OBSERVATIONS
This was a normal monitoring inspection conducted by Tony Waldron of DMG along with Ricky Mitchell, owner
of the site. The site is located just east of the town of Bennett, Colorado. The pit is situated just up out of the
The permit boundaries were marked and operations were occurring within those boundaries. The identification
sign at the entrance to the mine site did not have the permit number on it. This is being cited as a problem on
page three of this report. The pit is nearly mined out and the operator expressed an interest in amending the
current pit to incorporate some of the flood plain. There is another pit adjacent to this one that is also owned
by the Mitchell family. It was suggested they may want to convert one of these 110 permits into a 1 12 and
encompass both pits and any new area into a single 112 application. In addition, a good portion of the
current permit is presently being used as a landscape materials business. It was suggested that this could be
released from the current 110 and the acreage gained could be amended into the existing 110 if that is
preferable. No other problems were identified and this concluded the inspection.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Rickv Mitchell
OPERATOR: SAME
STREET: P_C~_ Rt~x 10. 4RSRn Hwy 36
CITY/STATE/ZIP: RannPtt CC) snlm
cc: t CE
t BL
I" FS
1' H W
I' HMWMD (CH)
1' SE
T WQCD (CH)
t OTHER
