III. COMMENTS - COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations <br />made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during <br />the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was an aerial inspection flown by Harry Ranney of the Colorado Division of <br />Minerals and Geology on February 1, 2002. Oblique aerial photographs were <br />reviewed by Kent Gorham of the Colorado division of Minerals and Geology. This <br />former underground mine is now reclaimed. The mine has achieved a Phase II bond <br />release for the majority of the disturbed area. <br />Slides and Damage <br />The reclaimed area was clearly visible in all of the photographs. The site was <br />entirely snow-covered. Contrast was good and two minor rills could be noted on <br />the center of the reclaimed area. The site appeared in good condition with no <br />evidence of any damage, slumps, or erosion. A portion of one of the photos is <br />presented below. <br />3 <br />
