III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations <br />made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken <br />during the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection of the East side Mine conducted by <br />Tim Burnell, accompanied by Tim Stark, both of CDMG, on Monday, <br />August 22, 2005. <br />The weather was clear and hot. This mine site was deserted. <br />The permit sign was present at the entrance road and the information <br />was correct. <br />The site is well vegetated with western wheatgrass, sagebrush, <br />rabbitbrush, some milkvetch and lactuca along with lesser <br />proportions of other fortis. <br />The former pond site has been reclaimed. That, too, was well <br />vegetated, although there were some patches of cheatgrass. <br />There was no sign of erosion or instability on the site. <br />
