III. Comments/Compliance <br />This was a partial inspection conducted by Jim Burnell of CDMG on Monday, October 16, <br />2006. Weather was overcast and foggy with light snow. The mine site was deserted and <br />quiet. <br />There was 3-4 inches of snow on the main mine site. The road was snow-covered with <br />drifts, but the ground was frozen under the snow and the road was passable. <br />Pond E contained some clear water but was not discharging. The dam was stable and the <br />emergency spillway was clear. <br />Pond F contained some water but was not discharging. The dam was stable and the <br />emergency spillway was clear. The baffles were standing at the entrance to the pond. <br />The Pond G reclamation looked good. The area had been mulched but there was no <br />emergence of vegetation yet. <br />Pond D also contained some water but was not discharging. The dam was stable and well <br />vegetated. The emergency spillway was clear. <br />The sign at the entry was correct and properly placed. The gate was locked and secure. <br />The Pit 1 area facing the county road was stable, with no erosion visible. <br />At the loadout area, the vegetation was good. The pond contained a small amount of water <br />and the dam and the embankments were stable, The remaining shop building was open. <br />
