They have a rock quarry /gravel pit located 800-1000 feet above a spring that
supplies 6 households (including mine) with potable water and livestock water. 1 have recently
planted a habitat for sage chickens which is located dite~:tly below the spring. 1 use the runoff
from the spring to water the habitat.
On 6/8/2000 I was informed that Jay Wagner, Wagner Rock, had a haul truck load of used
rues, including big chemical filled type loader tires, as w,:ll as a bunch of empty oil barrels that he
was going to crush and bury in the pit above my spring. On 6!9/2000, pictures were taken of a
truck load of tires in Wagner's storage yard located in Craig, CO. On 6/12J2000 the truck left
Wagner's storage yard. Pictures were taken on 6/12!2000 showing partially buried tires of
various sizes in the Wagner rock quarry /gravel pit bcated above my spring.
My concern is for the contamination of the ground and the eventual leaching of it imo the
spring water, that is used for domestic, livestock, 8: wildlife as well as for the sage chicken
habitat.
Thank you very much for your time & considerationvl this matter. Please feel free to call me
if you have any questions or concerns that you would like: to discuss with me.
cerely,
~.,..,a Ivr !~f a-22~
Donna Hall
