The operator Brannon Sand and Gravel has <br />submitted an amendment to increase the permit area by 30.64 acres. Change <br />the mining process from wet mining to dry mining by utilizing a slurry <br />wall. The final reclamation plan would be two large water reservoirs. The <br />original post mining land use was Commercial and residential use. Present <br />during the pre- operational inspection were, Mr. Jerry Leece and Mr. Fred <br />Marvel of Brannan sand and gravel. The amendment application sign was <br />properly posted. The area to be amended was found to be as described in the <br />amendment application. Operator explained their final plan for the area and <br />the fact that the Bromely water division was going to be building their <br />above ground water storage e area, once mining and reclamation is completed <br />for the site. A brief discussion about the financial warranty calculation <br />process and the need to identify all ground water wells with in 600 feet of <br />the permit area was mentioned. The operator stated that they would contact <br />the consulting company who prepared the application to provide the needed <br />information. They were notified that a written adequacy would provide to <br />their consultant once the comment period ends.
