III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection conducted by Janet Binns of CDMG. The Mine site is reclaimed <br />with no facilities or personnel remaining on site. Jackson County road 23a was completely snowed <br />and drifted in. Access to the mine was through adjacent mi»e property via snowshoe and snow <br />machine. Consultant for Slurco Corp., Mr. Byron Walker, was on the mine site at the time of [he <br />Division's inspection conducting quarterly pond inspections for ponds No. 1 and 1. <br />Records Mine records were accessed at the Jackson County Courthouse. "DMG Availability of <br />Records"form is a[tached to this report. Mine records are currently stored in the vault in [he <br />Jackson county clerk and recorders office. No problems were noted with the records. <br />Roads County road to mine was snow covered and impassable via standard vehicle. No roads <br />remain on the mine site. <br />Hvdrologic Balance Mine site was snow covered. Occasional sagebrush appeared above the snow. <br />Pond 1 was snow covered. Snow depth is below primary discharge level. No water was apparent <br />beneath snow. The crest of the embankment has melted off. No problems noted with this pond. <br />Pond 2 was snow covered. Primary spillway riser was visible above snow. No water was evident <br />under snow cover. <br />No running water was observed on the site. Snow is beginning to melt with warm Spring <br />temperatures. No sign of gullying could be observed through snow cover. <br />No problems were apparent on mine site. Little is visible [hrough snow cover. <br />
