Banta. <br />Division Director <br />I inspected the Bourg Mine on May 8, 1990. I am sorry neither you nor Walt <br />were able to accompany me. I thought you might be amused by Jackson County's <br />behavior with regard to the road culverts. <br />I am still quite interested in having Bourg achieve compliance with the <br />regulations regarding engineered designs of drainage structures at the mine <br />(Rule 4.05). Specifically I need designs for the drainage ditches around and <br />east of the shop area. We have been discussing this for almost a year but you <br />have been reluctant to give me a schedule for submittal. Therefore I am <br />imposing a deadline for submittal of this material. <br />Walden Coal Company shall submit a Technical Revision of the designs on the <br />two ditches prepared by a professional engineer within six weeks of receipt of <br />this letter. If a complete revision is not received by that date the Division <br />will proceed with an enforcement action.
