:<
• (Page 2) •
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-90-140
INSPECTION DATE 09-28-99 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS CBM
OBSERVATIONS
This was a follow up inspection done by Carl Mount as part of the Division of
Minerals and Geology routine inspection program. Photographs were taken of
the permitted area and surrounding areas. The site disturbance was evaluated
and determined to be included within the marked permit area. The inspection
was performed because of the inspection of July 13, 1999 which identified a
problem with deposition of off site materials within the permit area.
Additionally, it was stated in that inspection report that it was prabable
that the $5,000 financial warranty was inadequate at this site given the
amount of material that must be backfilled into or hauled out of the pit and
the amount of topsoiling and seeding that must still be done.
This inspection indicates that the inert material (broken asphalt and
concrete) has been removed from the area and much of the middle and west side
of the pit overburden has been regraded. Topsoil is available on site and
appears to be adequate to completely cover the site. It appears as if the
available financial warranty is adequate at this time to complete
reclamation.
DMG has been informed that the Esteys no longer own the property that the pit
is located on. A copy of the latest letter from the Esteys is enclosed for
the operator's use.
No problems were found during this inspection and the problem cited during
the July 13, 1999 inspection is considered to be abated.
I & E Contact Address
NAME Mr. Pat Weber
OPERATOR Hardrock Sand & Gravel
STREET P.O.
