Generally, grading material is used to provide a
smooth surface for the Leak Detection Geomembrane, and fill in any areas that might have
been overexcavated during the trenching process.
The Soil Liner Fill will provide a smooth surface for the geomembrane, and the small thickness
or depth of material required for grading the bottom of the Leak Detection Trench would not
result in any appreciable amount of settlement. Therefore, Golder Associates Inc. (Golder)
concludes that the use of the Soil Liner Fill for Leak Detection trench grading will not have any
detrimental effects on the overall performance of the Leak Detection System.
Golder appreciates the ongoing opportunity to provide CC&V with technical support for the
Cresson Project. Please contact the undersigned if you should have any questions or
comments.
Sincerely,
COLDER ASSOCL4TES INC.
~~
Terry Mandziak
Project Engineer
~~ ~~~
Dirk Van Zy , .E., Ph.
