Alameda Parkway <br />Lakewood, Colorado 80226 <br />RE: Schwartzwalder Mine <br />Our File #77-300 <br />Dear Mr. Smith: <br />To this date, you have not responded to the problems outlined in t:he <br />play 13, 1981 inspection report nor have you responded to Mr. Bob C'ampbell~ <br />letter dated June 5, 1981. A copy of the inspection report and lertter <br />has been enclosed for your convenience. <br />The staff has made an attempt to give Cotter Corporation sufficier.~t time <br />to correct any and all problems outlined in the enclosures. Staff' telephone <br />calls remain unanswered and no Letters have been received addressing our <br />concerns. <br />Therefore, the Division of Mined Land Reclamation would like to meet with <br />representatives of Cotter Corporation at our office some time during the <br />next 2 or 3 weeks to resolve the issues. Be prepared to fully answer all <br />of the issues in detail and be prepared to submit a time schedule for a12 <br />proposed corrective action. If we cannot resolve these issues before <br />Christmas, the staff will be forced to bring the concerns to the attention <br />of the Mined Land Reclamation Board at the January 27-28, 1982 meeting. <br />I look forward to hearing from you shortly to set up a meeting appointment <br />and answer any questions you may have. <br />Sincerely, <br />.?«.s~ <br />s ~'~G?~ <br />James B.
