III. COMMENTS - COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations
made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during
the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was a complete inspection conducted by Kent Gorham of the Colorado Division
of Minerals and Geology. This site is entirely reclaimed, with a total reclaimed
area of about seven acres. Ground conditions were dry. The weather was warm and
mild.
Hydrologic Balance
The sediment pond appeared in good condition and was dry. Engleville Gulch was
not flowing. Dry conditions have prevailed so far this spring.
Revegetation
Vegetation is growing vigorously. Diversity appears good. Shrubs are beginning to
leaf out. One lone bovine was present on the site. No evidence of planned
grazing so far this spring was observed.
Overall the site appeared in excellent condition for the spring season.
3
