III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during <br />the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the <br />facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection of the Ohio Creek Coal Mine #2 for the month of October, 2001 <br />Hydrologic Balance: The site is stable and shows little signs of erosion. The pond was dry. The pond <br />is capable of functioning as designed. <br />General Mine Compliance: The mine is relatively stable as far as erosion is concerned and if grazing <br />were to be significantly reduced for 3-4 years, the site would be as productive as the adjacent undisturbed <br />areas. <br />Reclamation Success: The site seems to be favored over adjacent lands as far as cattle grazing is <br />concerned and as such, tends to bear the brunt of the grazing results. <br />
