III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations <br />made during the inspection. Comments in Section IV describe any enforcement actions <br />taken during the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />Roads <br />Roads were in good shape. Shown in the picture <br />to the left is the Stony Ridge Fan Shaff Road. <br />Hydrologic Balance North Thompson Creek flow was moderate, the water was <br />murky. There was no overland flow from areas of the permit. There was discharge <br />from both portal drains to the Long Pond. Combined discharges at the discharge <br />point from Pond 2 was 0.33 gallons per second (20 gallons per minute or 0.0007 cubic <br />feet per second). Discharges were not being directed through Pond 9. All ponds <br />were free of ice and snow. There was no water in the Refuse Area Sedimentation <br />Pond. Perimeter ditches were in good shape. <br />Fish and Wildlife A pair of mallard ducks was on Pond 1. <br />Revegetation Vegetation is starting to green up on the south facing and flat areas. <br />Reclamation Success Reclamation is successful.
