III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made
during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the
inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
The operator has constructed the pad for de-gas holes CBM-5 and 6. Below the pad are
two incised mud pits. There is a notch cut in the ground that separates the two mud pits.
If the first mud pit fills up, any overt]ow should flow into the second mud pit. The
operator must ensure that no mud in the pits goes higher than the natural ground level.
The two topsoil stockpiles have silt fence on the down gradient sides. The upland
diversion ditch is in place and drains to the east. The pad's collection ditch collects water
to two rows of straw bales. A backup silt fence will also be installed at this point. There is
a road culvert at the entrance to the pad.
c:~rts97lsanborn~insp0501
