The site is alive, and ~Y producing coal. <br />Refuse was being placed cn the refuse pile, on two benches. Cnadmg ar compacting activities were <br />not apparent. An excavator was working on the south end of the collection ditch, presumably <br />maintaining dre ditch. <br />All aJ' We ponds held water. The water level of pond 4 was below the discharge point. The level <br />on sediment ponds 1 and 5 was not apparent. <br />It was not apparent whether the maintenance items (road ditches) idea~ied during the January 15, <br />1998 partial inspection were camipleted.
