(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-2001-018
INSPECTION DATE 08/04/2006
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS DEG
This routine monitoring inspection of Permit Number M-2001-018 was conducted by Deb E. GSnima of the DMG. Keith
Nienhueser (Permittee/Operator) attended the latter portion of the inspection. The site is located approximately 2 miles west of
Peetz on County Road 74, and 1.7 miles south on County Road 45 to the access road. The permit area consists of
approximately 9.9 acres and is known as the Schumacher II Pit.
The site is currently active. The topsoil was scraped, salvaged, and appears to have been seeded (see Photo 3). Material from
the hillside continues to be excavated and hauled offsite (see Photos 3 and 5). According to the Permittee/Operator no material
processing takes place on or off site, and there was no residual material stockpile. No erosion issues were observed. All permit
boundary markers were in place, as was the mine entrance sign.
All activities and completed work at the time of inspection appeared to follow the guidelines and regulations set forth by the
state and in the mining and reclamation plans for the pit. No problems are noted.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Deb E. G6nima at the Division of Minerals and Geology, Denver
Office, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, phone number 303-866-4179.
I & E Contact Address cc:
^ CE
NAME Mr. Keith Nienhueser ^ BL
OPERATOR Nienhueser Construction and Excavating Co. ^ FS
STREET 1500 10r" Avenue ^ Hyy
CITY/STATE/ZIP Sidnev.
