III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the <br />inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or <br />evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />Haul Road D remains blocked off. Since the last inspection, SCC has used a dozer to knock <br />down and compact the upper end of the scarp associated with the slide. Based on this inspection, <br />it appeazs that the slide has encroached upon the edge of Pond 012. A spring has formed in the <br />slide-damaged azea and is dischazging to the pond. It appeazs that the toe of the slide has slightly <br />entered into the fringe of the pond and may now have the potential to affect the capacity of Pond <br />012. <br />Notice of Violation CV-2003-008 is being issued for: failure to comply with remedial measures <br />required by the Division and for failure to stabilize by vegetation or other means the azeas <br />surrounding the Pond 012 impoundment. <br />
