III. COMMENTS - COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the ~nspect~on. The comments include discussion of observations
made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during
the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was a complete inspection conducted by Tom Kaldenbach of the Colorado Division of
Minerals and Geology. No one else was present during the field portion of the
inspection. John Weinman of Montgomery Watson represented the operator during the
records check.
The ground was dry. Both entrance gates were locked.
AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS
All required records were available at the Montgomery Watson office in Steamboat Springs.
The records checklist is attached.
SIGNS AND MARKERS
The operator recently surveyed the new permit boundary that resulted from the partial
Phase II/III bond release earlier this year. The operator's representative explained
that now that the survey is complete, new boundary markers will be installed soon.
REVEGETATION
Shrub transplants looked healthy in shrub parcels 003, HG-8. and E. SLUMP AREA
SLIDES AND DAMAGE
No problems were found at the slump. The steel stakes remain in alignment across the
slump. Revegetation is sparse. The area was re-disturbed last year when under-drains
were installed. The slump area appears to have recently been broadcast seeded. There was
no evidence of discharge from the drain outlets.
Page 3
