Below are comments on the rnspeclron. The comments include discussion of observations made during <br />the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the <br />facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was an aerial inspection of the New Horizon Mine for the month of July, 2003. The purpose of this <br />inspection is to conduct normal operations and environmental compliance. <br />ROADS: Ail roads appear to be in excellent condiUOn. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE: Ponds land 8 have water in them and 7 may be discharging. Pond 9 was dry. <br />All ditches and culverts appear to be clean and capable of functioning as designed. The CCC ditch is <br />flowing ,vater For the irrigation season and all seems well with the system. <br />BACKFILL & GRADING: B 8 G was in progress as is normal. No problems were noted. <br />TOPSOIL: Topscil removal appears to be in progress just north of the Frank Morgan property. <br />GENERAL MINE COMPLIANCE The mine is approaching the northern extent of mining (see photo 2) <br />and will soon make the turn west. All appears to be functioning well and no problems were noted. <br />Haying is in progress at Mr. Burbridge's property and it appears to be a bumper crop (photo 1). <br />
