;,
III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations
made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during
the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
An aerial inspection of the Marr Mine was conducted on April 13, 2001. Harry Ranney of the
DMG took the photos. It was an overcast day. Snow remains on the ground, although it is melting.
The ponds are nearly full. Photos were taken of the 720 pit area, the shop warehouse and the Marr
pit area. No photos of Pi[ 1 were taken.
Ponds A, B and D are visible in the aerial photos. All three of these ponds appear to be nearing the
discharge point, but from the photos I cannot tell if they are discharging.
The access road is clear and appears to be in good condition.
Tire tracks are visible at the shop area. Snow remains in patches on the pad, and a small amount of
water is ponding in the southeastern ditch at the base of the shop/warehouse pad. Pond C is just out
of the picture.
Snow is concentrated in the contour furrows in the 720 and Marr pit reclaimed areas.
No evidence of plant germination is apparent in the photos.
