(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-1987-009
INSPECTION DATE: April 17, 2001
OBSERVATIONS

INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: AIW
This was a normal monitoring inspection conducted by Tony Waldron of DMG along with Mark Dorenkarnp of Prowers
County. The site is located approximately 8 miles northeast of Granada, Colorado. The pit is situated along an old terrace of
the Arkansas River that has been dissected by a north-south drainage. This pit is located on the east side of the drainage and
just north of County Road JJ. Although the pit straddles both rangeland and farmland, all of the disturbance to date has
occurred in the rangeland areas. However, the operator would like to conduct a swap of undisturbed areas by deleting the
farmland area from the east and adding additional rangeland area to the north. The operator is in the process of completing
this swap by requesting a release of the farmland area and submitting an amendment/tr to add the rangeland area. The operator
was cautioned that they must retain all disturbed and presently unreclaimed areas within the new permit boundary
configuration and must not have disturbed any area that they are requesting release for. Attached to this report is an extra 110
application for completing the amendment application process. The site was properly marked and did have a mine
identification sign present at its public entrance. This concluded the inspection.
cc: Jim Sevens-DMG
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Mark Dorenkamo
OPERATOR: Prowers Countv
STREET: P.O.
