The pond has been created by unusual run' off
from last year's spring snow melt that came down Lone Tree Creek and
is doing the same thing this year. It is running in from the north
filling the pit area and then running out the south end back into
Lone Tree Creek. This has only happened in the last two years.
Previously this was a dry pit.
The location of the topsoil is on the southwest portion of tfie site
as you indicated. This is the topsoil from the north end. The topsoil,
as the permit indicates, will be put back on the affected areas.
In response to the Davis Ranch Pit, File No. BO-122, the County sold
this property two years ago. After the threat of flood has passed
we will reclaim the disturbed area and apply for release.
Please notify me of your gravel pit inspection schedule and I will be
happy to meet with you at the locations to answer any questions. This
would help our department in knowing what is needed. Your consideration
in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Kenneth Schraeder
Mining Supervisor
KS/bf
I
I
#~-..
