III. COMMENTS • COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection <br />and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action <br />This was an aerial inspection flown by Harry Ranney of the Colorado Division of Minerals <br />and Geology (Division) on Wednesday December 21, 2005. Kent Gorham of the Division <br />reviewed 14 oblique aerial photographs in the office on January 6, 2006. <br />Roads <br />Access roads and haul roads appeared smooth and dry with no visible evidence of rutting or <br />damage. Dry conditions and unseasonably warm temperatures have prevailed for the last <br />four weeks or more. <br />Hvdrologic Balance <br />Ponds around the site appeared stable and in good condition. All ponds held a small <br />The operator has plans to submit a revision to the permit requesting road relocation and re- <br />alignment. This revision will allow for drainage control improvements at the location of the <br />current roadway, where frequent maintenance is commonplace. <br />
