III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made
during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the
inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was an complete inspection of the Hamilton Mine for the month of September, 1996.
All ditches and culverts are clear and capable of functioning as designed. Pond B was dry but
pond A had approximately 1-2 feet of water in but it was not discharging.
The roads were repaired since the last complete inspection.
The site's vegetation consists mostly of annual weeds such as russian thistle and cheat grass,
however these are easily replaced by grasses when and if they come in. The grasses (mostly
Indian ricegrass) when in evidence is very sparse, however, the Division will recommend that
this second reseeding be given a third growing season before any final decision is made to
attempt a third resseding of the site.
