The Fassler Pit is permitted for 9.9 acres. The site will be reclaimed to agricultural <br />land. No financial warranty is required since the operator is a unit of County <br />Government. <br />3. Signs and markers were posted in conformance with Rule 3.1.12. <br />4. Approximately 7-8 acres.are currently disturbed, all within the permit boundary. The <br />operator is excavating into a hillside. -'The operator has done an exemplary job of partially <br />grading disturbed slopes to a configuration of 2:1 or gentler. Available topsoil has been <br />salvaged. Due to the high potential for wind erosion and invasion by noxious weeds, the <br />Division strongly encourages the operator to seed salvaged topsoil that will be stockpiled <br />for greater than 12 months with a temporary seed mix of aggressive native grasses such as <br />western wheatgrass and sideoats grama.
