Springs and Seeps -Spoil spring 1 and the south Moffat spoil spring (flows into south end of Moffat
pond) were both flowing more than 1 cfs of clear water.
Impacts to Trout Creek - Electroconductivity in Trout Creek was 160 µmhos/cm at Routt County Rd.
179 immediately upstream from the Edna Mine, and 990 µmhos/cm at Routt County Rd. 33
downstream from the mine (Twentymile Coal Company site 301). This indicates the spoil spring
discharges from the Edna Mine were not causing upper Trout Creek to exceed the 1,000 µmhos/cm
material damage suspect level for irrigation water.
Monitoring Wells -Alluvial well TR-1.5's surface casing was in good condition and a cap was in place.
SLIDES AND DAMAGE
Reclaimed slopes in the Moffat, Center Ridge, and West Ridge areas appear to have come through the
winter without damage. Slopes appeared stable. No new gullying was evident over large areas
examined during the inspection. Vegetation was not yet turning green.
4
