f-
III. COMMENTS - COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made
during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the
inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was an aerial inspection flown by Harry Ranney of the Colorado Division of
Minerals and Geology. Three oblique aerial photographs were reviewed in the office by
Kent Gorham of the CDMG. This site is entirely reclaimed, with a total reclaimed area
of about seven acres. Recent snow covered the ground the day the photos were taken and
the weather was cool and sunny.
Hvdrolo4ic Balance
The contrast due to the recent snow highlighted surficial features on the reclaimed
area. One small gully bisects the reclamation. The small gully mainly from drainage
due to a pipeline corridor topographically above the reclaimed area. Other minor rills
are also visible. No of the features have any significant impact on the site or affect
in any way the post mining land use of rangeland. One photo clearly showed the
sediment pond. The pond embankment appeared in good condition. The emergency spillway
was clearly visible. The pond appeared snow-covered and likely was dry.
Overall, the site appeared in good condition for the winter season.
Page 3
