Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during
the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was an aerial inspection of the Twin Pines mine. The photographs were taken by
Harry Ranney of CDMG. The bond for this site has been forfeited and reclamation
was completed by DMG.
The coal sales/tipple area appeared to be well vegetated and in good condition
There did not appear to be any cattle grazing at the site at the time the pictures
were taken, The pond looked like it contained a small amount of water but much
lower than its "normal" level. The road leading to the site is a county road.
The portal area appeared to be well vegetated and in good condition as well. The
remaining highwall appears to be stable. There did not appear to be any water in
the pond at this time. The road leading to the portal area is showing some signs of
erosion but it is also filling in with vegetation.
Both areas of the mine appear to be in good condition, with no major problems
visible.
