Fist the loadout h Walden was <br />inspected and then I went to the mine site. fie weather was warm, dry and dear. <br />Jim Mossman was at the mine sffe. <br />~~ <br />The roads were clear, dry and wel mohtained. Some mahtenance activities were <br />apparent h the road ditch gohg to Pond F. <br />HwkOlooic Balance <br />A trickle of water was discharghg from Pond E Other ponds contatrned water, but <br />no discharge was observed. <br />Mr. Mossrrwn said he TS attempfhg to drain the smal pond on the south side of the <br />shop/warehouse area h anticipation of upcoming work h the area. ff is h the area <br />where the dBposal debris from the loadout wdl go. <br />Two hock check dams were pkyced h the drohage dffch gohg to Pond E This ditch <br />B erodhg and ff may need additional protection to prevent further erosbn. <br />Rods have been placed h the flutes on the south fadng slope and west fadng <br />slope h fhe old reclaimed area, west of Pond D. Additional fiM material maybe <br />necessary where the gales are greater than a couple of feet deep. Mr. Mossman <br />said he would look at ff, and place additional mateital h Them. <br />Offsffe Suooort Faclties <br />No work har occurred of the loador~F. However, Kerr Coal Company is plarxwng to <br />hie a contractor to remove the debris and recbim the site. They are hoping to begh <br />the work h the next couple of weeks. <br />
