COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection The comments include discussion of observations made <br />dunng the inspection Comments also descnbe any enforcement actions taken dunng the inspecton <br />and the facts or evidence supporting tha enforcement action <br />This was a partial inspection conducted by Kenl Gorham of the Colorado Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining and Safety lDrvision) This mine is in permanent cessation and <br />reclamation of most areas is complete The main gate was open when I arrived at the site <br />and a local rancher was observed near the Corley gate at pond 5 Ground conditions were <br />dry and the weather was hot. <br />Hvdrolos7ic 8@lance <br />Pond 5 and Pond 4 were both found dry Primary spillways were inspected in detail and <br />found to be in good condition with dewatenng gates closed to ensure proper function and <br />discharge through the top of the primary riser <br />Revegetation <br />The Russian knapweed patch previously ufentified lust east of the temporary parking area <br />was observed and now consists of numerous plants. some approaching 30 inches in height <br />The operator should immediately treat this List 8 noxious weed to prevent flowering and <br />spreading of this undesirable species to the nearby topsoil pile and other reclaimed areas <br />y _ ~ _y ~-' /mar <br />k ~~ ~~ <br />!V, ~~SS J. , ~ 1: . <br />1' ~ • ~ , I ~- •..
