The main
purpose of the inspection was also to collect water samples from the under drain for the
fourth quarter. The area had received a dusting of snow the night before, which was
evident at the time of the inspection.
Inspected the under-drain area. AG1.5 WAS DRY. All the lower ponds were holding a very
small amount of what appeared to be frozen water with a small amount of snow cover.
Both the South under drain and spring pipes were discharging. The South under drain was
discharging at 2.7 gpm and the 4 inch pipe or AG1 WAS discharging at .34 gpm. Utilizing
the operator's bottle, split samples were collected for wad cyanide analysis placed on ice
in a cooler and delivered to CDOH&E lab the same day.
While on site inspected the Phase I, II, II AND IV leach pad areas and collected the
following readings from the High and Low Volume solution collection systems.
Phase I High Volume solution collection transducer # 1 was at 7.0 (Read out meter not
functioning, will be replaced when the pumps are pulled out) #2 was at 49.2 and # 3 was at
48.0. Low Volume solution collection transducer # 1 was at .21 and # 2 was at .59.
Piezomter for the pond was at 55.4
Phase II&III High Volume Solution Collection system transducer #4 was at 31.4 # 5 was at
23.3 #6 was at 34.6. Low Volume solution collection transducer # 1 was at .40 and # 2 was
at .46. Piezometer for the ponds was at35.9.
Phase IV High Volume solution collection transducer # 7 was at 24.4 # 8 was at 27.6, #9
was at 27.6 and # 10 was 27.4. Low volume solution collection transducer # 1 was recorded
at 16.9 and # 2 was at 17.5 inches of hydrostatic head.
Inspected the external pond, it was holding some water which appeared to be frozen. The
low volume solution collection transducer # 1 was recorded at 13.9 and # 2 was at 11.6
inches of hydrostatic head.
Storm water diversion structures around the valley leach facility were found to be in good
repair.
18 E Contact Address
NAME: TIM COMER
OPERATOR: CCBV
STREET: P n RC)X 191
CITY/STATE/ZIP: wCrOR c~i t1RAnt~ RnR~o
cc: r CE
r BL
r FS
r HW
r HMWMD (CH)
r
r sE
r wQCD (cH~
r OTHER
