III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the
inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or evidence
supporting the enforcement action.
This was a partial inspection conducted by Tom Kaldenbach of the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology.
No one else was present. The ground was dry. DMG completed reclamation on this site in May 1993.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE
There are no ponds or ditches on the site. Vegetation has greened up on the site. Cover appears to be
controlling erosion throughout the site. No gully or rill problems were found. There were no sediment fans or
deltas. Positive drainage was well-established throughout the site. There were no signs of seepage below the
reclaimed portals. No off-site hydrologic impacts were apparent in Hay Gulch downhill from the disturbed area.
RECLAMATION SUCCESS
Reclamation appeared successful throughout the site. The hole reported as approximately 10 ff. uphill from the
east DMG marker could not be found. A large rock was found at this location. There were no signs of human
activity at the location.
