III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was an aerial inspection of the Raton Creek Mine for the month of December, 1996. The <br />site has been reclaimed and mining operations have permanently ceased. <br />The site is covered with a light smattering of snow. The pond did have water in it but was not <br />discharging. The 8 foot diameter culvert appears to be clear and ditches all appear to be able to <br />function as designed. <br />The site should be erosionally stable for the remainder of the winter. <br />
