We reseeded the cut and covered it with hay and straw to keep the seeds in place and moist on 5-25-03. There are pictures enclosed, showing you what we have done and the fittished result. We have also brought the mine engineers to the job site to certify that the results were the best that we could accomplish. Phis completes item 1 on your letter dated 5-14-03. For item number 2, we have asked the loggers to finish their work so that we could re- consttuct the runoff channel, where we altered it so they would have access to the trees. They will be out within approximately one week, and we will finish the channel construction and send pictures and certification to your office by July 31, 2003. ltem 3: We have continued the work on the sediment pond, and will have this completed as per engineers newly calculated dimensions and depths well before the July 31 deadline, with proof and certification of the structure to your office by July 31, 2003. Item 4: We have ceased all work on bench number 2 and will finish the excavation, shaping and grading of bench 1 and establish its upper slope after the channel and catchment basin aze complete. We will only use bench 2 as a storage and staging area for dirt and materials taken from the channel the catchment basin, and bench 1. The only thing we will do and have begun is knocking down the high walls on the east bank to make a safe slope. Item 5: We will seed all buffer areas being remedied according to all aspects of the revegetation plan in the approved reclamation plan and send proof and dates of seeding by November 15, 2003.
