Apre-operation inspection was made of the Larimer Pit to discuss the operator's application and plans for a permit <br />amendment to allow for development of two (2) water storage ponds in Pits 16 & 17. Present during the inspection were <br />Brad Faucher of Loveland Ready Mix Concrete, Inc. and Rodney Harr of Landmark Engineering. The ground was snow <br />covered at the time of inspection. <br />2. The operator indicated that Storage Pond 1 (Pit #16) is approximately 14.9 acres in size, has already been finish <br />graded and lined, and has been inspected and approved by the Office of the State Engineer as a water storage pond. <br />The operator indicated that Storage Pond 2 (Pit #17) is approximately 19.3 acres in size, and has approximately 65% of <br />the pit regarded to finish contours and lined. There is currently active excavation in Pit #17, however the operator <br />indicated the excavation is nearly complete. Pits 16 & 17 were field inspected and the conditions mentioned above were <br />verified. <br />3. The operator indicated that they have an approved temporary substitute supply plan from the Office of the State <br />Engineer for all areas of groundwater exposed after December 31, 1980. The operator also mentioned they have filed an <br />application for an augmentation plan for the entire site with the Office of the State Engineer. <br />4.
