Otherwise, the roads were maintained. <br />4.05 Hydrologic Balance <br />The berm constructed along the outside edge of the ranch road above the portals has breached <br />in several spots. Water has run off the road down the out slope. The berm has not been. <br />properly maintained. It must be strong enough to prevent water from going over the side. <br />In a letter dated June 15, 1982, the operator stated that the hydrologic efficiency of <br />the diversion represented by D-7 will be maintained by either Ditch D-7 per se or by a <br />berm of at least 6" in height extending along the outside edge of the ranch road. Since <br />the berm has breached the system is not efficient. A stronger berm must be installed and <br />maintained. <br />The ditches around the surface facilities and the sediment pond were examined. No problems <br />were noted. <br />s <br />
