<br />III. Comments - Compliance <br />Below are comments on the inspectio .. The comments include discussion of <br />observations made during the inspection. Comments also describe any <br />enforcement actions taken during the inppection and the facts or evidence <br />supporting the enforcement action. <br />On August 29, 1996 a complete Inspection WM conducted at the Frulta <br />Mine. At the time cf this Inspection a mlt~`rspresentatlve was not <br />present. The Inspection was conducted by Randy PrlCe end Harry Ranney <br />of MLRD. This mine is inactive and Is nut permitted under the current <br />program. <br />,~t the time of this inspection the weather was clear and hot. It has <br />rained here In the past several weeks as evident by the Sediment and <br />debris cn the drive to the mine on the County road. <br />The ponds were dry and sediment revels wars low. The ditches showed <br />sane r.ew erosion fr~rc the recent storm. However some maintenance has <br />been performed. Tl~e ditch adjacent to tha~haul road had recently been <br />regraded and a swr~.~e cut Into the haul road to divert runoff to the <br />pun d. the entire dralr~age system for this mine has b6en redesigned <br />and will be constructed this fall as part of ttre reclamation plan. <br />The upper bench was Inspected. Most cf the vegetation appeased dead <br />because of the extreme drought; the recent rains did not appear to <br />help. <br />... ,., _ ... 1. __ r..i.i _ .. <br />
