III. COMMENTS ~ COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during <br />the inspection Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the rnspection and the <br />facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action <br />This was an aerial inspection flown by Harry Ranney of the Colorado Division of Minerals and <br />Geology on December 17, 2003. Kent Gorham of the CDMG reviewed digital oblique aerial <br />photographs rn the office on January 9, 2004 The Rimrock Mine consists of approximately <br />seven acres of reclamation. This site is approaching the tenth growing season following <br />reseeding. <br />Hydrologic Balance <br />The sediment pond was visible in a number of the six photographs reviewed. It appeared <br />nearly dry and snow-covered. The embankment appeared uniform and normal. <br />Reclamation Success <br />The site blends well into the surrounding area. Original land imprinting can still be seen in the <br />reclaimed area, indicating limited erosion of the reclaimed surface. Cattle were not visible in <br />any of the photographs. <br />Overall, the site appeared in good condition for the winter season. <br />
