III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection <br />and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection of the Arness McGriffen Mine for the month of October,1999. The site <br />remains much the same as it has over the past months. <br />Roads: The road to the site is dry, rutted, and is only usable by four wheel drive vehicles. Hunting <br />traffic this year has not worsened the road as it has been a dry fall. <br />Hydrologic Balance: The site is as stable as it will ever be. Heavy off road vehicle use has destroyed <br />most of the vegetation on the flat. Roadside drainage ditches still require extensive work. <br />Reclamation Success: The vegetation is adequate <br />
