(Page 21 <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-1987-044 <br />INSPECTION DATE 8/29/02 <br />INSPECTOR'S INITIALS RCO <br />This inspection was performed by the Division as part of its monitoring of Construction Materials 11- In-stream permits. <br />The operator was contacted about the inspection, and the operator's representative named on page one was present during <br />the inspection. <br />The permit ID sign was not posted at the time of the inspection, but a new one was present in the operator's vehicle. The <br />entrance gate at the county road is being reconfigured (due to changes partly from the fire and erosion control being carried <br />outl• After the access road and gate are fixed, the sign will be posted. <br />There was no activity at the site, and no stockpiles or equipment. There were no noxious weeds. The landowner has been <br />cleaning out accumulations of the "black mud" which has been moving onto his property (sediment runoff from the upslope <br />forest fire areas), and placing it immediately downstream from the permitted area. It is understood that there will likely <br />be more sediment to pick up and dispose of after future precipitation events, and the need to place it in the permitted area <br />may arise. If the operator is aware of such sediment placement in the permit, please contact this office. <br />There has been no reclamation of the disturbance. The bond was recalculated in 2000, and is not due again for review <br />for 2 years. There have been no changes to the site, and the bond is felt at this time to be sufficient. <br />There were no additional items observed or discussed. No problems exist at this time.
