(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-t 9sta_t t ~
INSPECTION DATE: e-t ~-n~ INSPECTOR=S INITIALS: -~_
OBSERVATIONS
Completed a partial inspection of this operation as part of the normal inspection program.
Reviewed the tailings Impoundment, the collection pond, the mill area, the main access road, the south waste
dump and the R/O facility. Could not access other areas of the permit due to muddy/snowy conditions.
The tailings impoundment pond footprint is nearly full which usually occurs this time of the year since irrigation
season is still a month or two away. Once the summer season arrives the ponded water will be used to irrigate
the vegetated areas within the ] 92 acre Impoundment and the amoun} of water in the pond will be reduced
dramatically within a few weeks.
A contractor plans to begin removing the mill building and associated equipment sometime this year.
As previously reported, the south waste dump outslopes have been graded and the entire disturbance has
been topsoiled and re-seeded. Side cast material along the edge of the main access road has been pulled
back in to nanow the road to about 30 feet. The area along both sides of the road has been topsoiled and re-
seeded.
The operator has reclaimed a significant amount of disturbed acreage over the last year. However, there is still
a lot of reclamation to do at the site.
the R/O unit continues to perform very efficiently. the facility only operates a few days a week. In order }o
maintain the required groundwater elevation in the backfill material, the operator continuously pumps two of
the monitoring wells in the west pit. When the R/O unit is not running the water is pumped to the lined pond north
of the facility. When the unit is operating, water is pumped from the wells and the collection pond.
Did not observe any obvious problems at this site.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Bill Lvle
OPERATOR: Battle Mountain Resources.
