Only piece of equipment was
a Cat 955H front end loader parked next to a stockpile.
2. Site is as portrayed in the 1985 annual report.
3. Bench area has outslopes of 1.5h:1v and is infested predominantly by
Indian ricegrass on the outslopes and cheatgrass on surface.
4. Mining is southeasterly into a knoll.
5. Small, what appears to be pre-law disturbance on the southwest side
below the bench area.
6. Slides 5 From bench to southwest at "pre-law" pit of about 1 acre
6-11 From northeast rotating west to east at bench area
12 From access road east at site
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. Division would like to remind operator that the reclamation plan calls
for slopes no steeper than 3h:ly. We realize the bench is being
utilized for overburden stockpile but are somewhat concerned about the
1.5h:1v outslopes. If this practice continues, a tremendous amount of
dozer time would be required to slope this grade properly.
2. Please address the about 1 acre disturbance on the southwest side. We
can find no discussion in the permit about when this activity occurred,
if it would be reclaimed, etc..
3. The Division has no other concerns with this site and believes the
current financial warranty is satisfactory.
2666F/cj

.~ „ w
