III. Comments/Compliance
This was a partial inspection conducted by Jim Burnell of CDMG on the morning of Friday,
May 25, 2005. Weather was clear and mild. Hubbard Creek was flowing strong and
muddy, both above and below the site.
All the signage was erected and in place. The road and gate to the site was in good repair
and the gate was locked.
The road to the site was in very good condition. There were grazing sheep spread
throughout the area.
The old coal stockpile area was stable. The vegetation was green. Posts had been placed
along with a sign to keep people off the area. The culvert was clear.
Pond 3 was dry. The embankments were stable. The floor of pond 5 was also dry. The
embankments were stable and the discharge structure was in order.
The bench areas were cropped, probably by sheep.
The riparian area had good cover -areas of willows and grasses on the slope between pond
5 and the creek.
