III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during <br />the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the <br />facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection of the King Coal Mine for the month of December, 2001. The site is <br />operating at its normal rate. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE: Both ponds had small amounts of water in them but were not discharging. <br />All culverts and ditches were inspected and found to be clear and able to properly function. <br />GENERAL MINE COMPLIANCE: The site is clean and well maintained. <br />EXCESS SPOILS AND DEVELOPMENT WASTE: The waste pile is stable and all water is diverted off <br />the top. <br />
